"Blame It on the Sun" is a song by the musician Stevie Wonder. "Blame It on the Sun" appeared for the first time on Stevie Wonder's 1972 album Talking Book. It also appeared as the B-Side to his Innervisions single "Don't You Worry 'bout A Thing". The two songwriters were Stevie Wonder and Syreeta Wright. Lani Groves and Jim Gilstrap provided the background vocals. In 1980, Wright herself covered the song on her self-titled album, Syreeta.
A version recorded by Ray Charles and George Michael was released on Charles' 2005 duets album Genius & Friends.
Phil Collins recorded a version of the song for his album of soul covers, Going Back.
